Sushi in Japan was of course out of the this world! Extremely accessible, affordable, and fresh. Fell in love with tuna and fattier tuna. We were also introduced to Kyoto style sushi (slides 6+7) smaller rice balls with dressed pieces of fish.

Every tempura dish is prepared and fried right in front of you at the counter. Nothing like American style tempura, every piece is light, crisp and not greasy at all. Our favorites were the shrimp heads, asparagus and chestnut pieces.

The Japanese have mastered Neapolitan style pizza with such precision. We preferred the Kuroshima beef over the bluefin tuna pizza but overall, Savoy was an incredible experience.
