Slow Roasted String Beans


(serves 2 as a side dish)

Level: Barely Cooking

  • 1 lb trimmed string beans
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of salt


  • Preheat oven to 350
  • In a shallow roasting pan, add string beans, olive oil, salt, and the peel of one lemon
  • Roast for 60 minutes, tossing the beans every 20 minutes
  • Beans should be tender and crisp. Toss with juice from one lemon
  • Serve emm up!
